Parents and Wrestlers,
We are excited to announce that registration for the 2020 season is now open. Please view the website to register your wrestler www.roswellwresltingclub.com). Attached is the 2020 season flier which includes a free clinic on October 18th. This would be a perfect opportunity for new wrestlers who want to come by and meet our coaches and check our wrestling. We need your help in spreading the word this season! Please share this flier with families that may have a child interested in wrestling this season.

We are also excited to introduce our newest head coach and Director, Matthew Schneider, to everyone. Matthew brings extensive experience as a collegiate wrestler at Stanford University as well as a high school wrestling official to our coaching staff. See his bio is below:
Matthew was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1991, and was the youngest of two older brothers and an older sister. He wrestled for three years in Pennsylvania at Franklin Regional before moving down to Georgia in 2001. He was a multiple time USA wrestling Georgia state placer growing up, and was a member of the Milton High School varsity wrestling program all four years, where he broke numerous school records. He became a three-time state placer taking 4th, 2nd, and 3rd place. He trained throughout his high school career with Lee Kemp, a three-time world champion, and John Hanrahan, the first Penn State wrestler in history to surpass a 100 career wins.
Matthew accepted a partial scholarship to wrestle at Stanford University in 2014. His collegiate career was shorter lived than he had hoped, and ended at the conclusion of his Sophomore season when his shoulder surgery was unsuccessful at diminishing his pain. At Stanford he was able to train with Ryan Mango, Nick Amuchastegi, and Alex Tirrapeli, and was able to break the varsity line-up throughout his Sophomore season.
Matthew has become impassioned to teach young adults how to maintain a proper positioning and mental attitudes such that they may avoid his own career set-backs and injuries. Having felt chronic pain at a younger than desired age, Matthew is determined to help others avoid his same mistakes. With a love for wrestling he has been a wrestling referee for the past two years, and currently has a wrestling room in his house! When he is not wrestling Matthew is working on his career in Real Estate, out farming in his neighbors backyards, or playing the violin.
